Istanbul, 11 January 2019 – Three years after the launch of the two limited editions Classic Fusion Bodrum Blue and Classic Fusion Turkish Coffee, Hublot is proud to launch this new celebration of Turkish Culture, capturing the beauty of waterway the Bosphorus Strait.
Yesterday, the Turkish exclusive edition of the Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Bosphorus Blue was unvealed in the presence of the famous Turkish actor Kerem Bürsin in the stunning panoramic Vogue restaurant overlooking the iconic waters of the Bosphorus and some of Istanbul’s most famous monuments, including Bosphorus Bridge, the Maiden’s Tower, the Beylerbeyi Palace and the Historical Peninsula.
With a width varying between 700m and 3.5km, the Bosphorus shows an outstanding color palette, from deep dark blue, to light azure. At the crossroads of the two continents, the Bosphorus embodies the fusion between two worlds, Asia and Europe, with a constant flow created by the currents between the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara.
The 45mm Classic Fusion Aerofusion Bosphorus Blue is a limited edition of 34 pieces exclusive to Turkey. The timepiece is crafted in a vibrant blue ceramic case, a shade inspired by the rich tones of the Bosphorus, accentuated with a strap design in sartorial blue cotton Chino fabric featuring fused rubber. As an ultimate tribute to the “Second Rome”, the word “Istanbul” is featured on the sapphire caseback that also reveals the HUB 1155 self-winding skeleton chronograph movement. An additional all black cotton Chino fabric and rubber strap completes the offer and offsets the signature black skeletonised dial synonymous with Hublot’s timeless and sporty design.
Benoît Lecigne, General Manager for Eastern Europe, France, Benelux, UK, Ireland and Scandinavia adds: “It is with pleasure that we’ve launched this beautifully crafted limited edition which honors the Bosphorus, one of Turkey’s precious heritage landmarks. This watch truly reflects the aim of Hublot to constantly spotlight the natural treasures of the world as we have seen in the past with Costa Smeralda, Ibiza, Porto Montenegro and Capri”.
