Ullna, Sweden, 5th June – Yesterday at Ullna Golf Club, Hublot and its Swedish retailer Rob Engstrom joined forces for a great moment of sport. In presence of Alex Noren; Hublot Friend of the Brand and nine-time European Tour Winner, Hublot hosted a special golf tournament. Ullna Golf Club welcomed 36 players who could compare their swing with that of the Swedish Golf Champion.
Located on the shores of Ullna Lake, the Ullna Golf Club opened in 1981. Renowned since then for its outstanding quality, natural setting and its proximity to open waters, its golf course reopened in 2013 after a 2-year renovation by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, offering the perfect balance between soft shaped hills and ever-present streams, with brand new tees, fairways and greens.
The perfect setting for Hublot and Rob Engstrom to host their golf tournament! Happy few and VIPs enjoyed exclusive time with Alex Noren, current World #17. Waiting for the participants at Hole #16 – known as the most difficult par-3 at Ullna GC – Alex Noren advised them on their game and demonstrated some of his best shots. To close such a privileged moment, a cocktail was held at the Club House Terrace surrounded by Ferrari cars, during which the best players were awarded Hublot prizes.
Born in Stockholm, Alex Noren turned professional in 2005. Since he came back to competition in 2015, Noren has enjoyed a startling upward trajectory. Clinching six European Tour victories between 2016 and 2017, he climbed as high as #8 in the Official World Golf Rankings, ensuring his attendance at the sport’s biggest tournaments in 2017 – an opportunity he grasped with both hands with top 10 finishes in The Open, The Players Championship and the WGC-Dell Technologies Matchplay. Welcomed last January in the Hublot Family, Alex Noren kicked off the 2018 year by producing remarkable performances at the Farmers Insurance Open on Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California and at WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin, Texas. Noren’s hard work continues to elevate him and cement his place inside the world’s golf elite.

About the Big Bang Unico Golf
The case of the Big Bang Unico Golf is carved from Texalium®, an innovative material exclusive to Hublot, that is an amalgamation of carbon fiber and aluminum. This unique composite gives the watch its lightness; it weights precisely 97.93 grams!
The Big Bang Unico Golf has the look of a chronograph and has been conceived as a chronograph. Its movement features return-to-zero heart piece cams that ensure the counting mechanism is robust and reliable. The putter-shaped pusher at 2 o’clock activates the mechanism for displaying the number of strokes taken and counts the strokes per hole. The pusher at 4 o’clock allows the wearer to move on to the next hole by resetting the stroke counter to zero. The counter at 6 o’clock displays the total number of strokes played and is simultaneously updated. The pusher at 8 o’clock is shaped like a tee. This resets the mechanism and sets the counters to zero at the end of the round. During the round, this button can be locked by rotating it by 45°, thus ensuring that it is not inadvertently activated. The MHUB1580 full-skeleton movement allows the wearer to admire and understand how the timepiece works. The watch comes with two interchangeable wristbands fitted with the One Click system. One is made of white leather sewn on rubber and designed like a golf glove, while the other is made of technical fabric with a Velcro fastener to ensure the watch sits perfectly on the wrist.
