On Saturday 9th November 2019, the unique Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Sapphire Orlinski for Only Watch was auctioned in Geneva in aid of the Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy.

Following a world tour from Monaco to Tokyo, passing through Dubai, Paris, London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei, the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Sapphire Orlinski for Only Watch ended its fabulous journey on Saturday 9th November in the exquisite surroundings of the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva, where it was auctioned by Christie’s under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II. Attracting a winning bid of CHF 240’000.-, the piece greatly exceeded the expectations of the experts. The proceeds will be donated to the Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy in aid of medical and scientific research into neuromuscular conditions, in particular Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
A partner of Only Watch since 2005, for this edition Hublot commissioned the French sculptor Richard Orlinski, to revamp its Classic Fusion model. The result is stunning: a one-off watch enclosed in a sapphire case and equipped with a white gold bezel set with 54 baguette-cut topazes. The interplay of transparent surfaces reveals its skeletonised movement, the HUB6021 manufacture calibre, and its tourbillon. Its openworked architecture reflects the artist’s work; a theme which runs through the entire piece, extending to the translucent rubber strap in the Only Watch colours.
The Classic Fusion Tourbillon Sapphire Orlinski for Only Watch was presented to its new owner in a spectacular transparent case carried by Orlinski’s famous ‘Wild Kong’. The lucky owner will also enjoy an exclusive meeting with Richard Orlinski himself, at his art gallery in Paris.
