Hublot revealed exclusive timepiece designed with Jose Bautista, former outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays at an intimate dinner in Toronto
January 30, 2018 [Toronto, ON] – Tonight, luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot revealed an exclusive timepiece designed with baseball legend Jose Bautista, former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder, titled Classic Fusion Chronograph Special Edition “Jose Bautista”.
To celebrate the new watch, Jean-François Sberro, Managing Director, Hublot North America, hosted an intimate cocktail reception and seated dinner at the luxurious Adelaide Hotel which towers over Toronto’s Financial District. Clients, friends of the brand, and select media were invited to mingle with Jose Bautista and witness the reveal of the exclusive timepiece.
Jose Bautista, noted, “I am proud to join Hublot’s family of greats, especially since I have always been such an admirer of their timepieces. The visit to the Swiss watch Manufacture HQ to work on the design with my favorite watchmaker was incredibly special and a unique experience and I hope my friends and fans love the final product as much as I do.”

This marks Hublot’s first official brand event in Toronto and second in Canada, following a successful grand opening of the Swiss watchmaker boutique in Vancouver with brand ambassador Lang Lang in September of 2017. That also marked the debut of the Classic Fusion Chronograph Canada timepiece.
The Classic Fusion Chronograph Special Edition “Jose Bautista” is a sleek, all black timepiece designed with and inspired by Jose Bautista and his illustrious career as a right fielder for the Toronto Blue Jays. The dial features his baseball number, “19” at the noon marker with 21 black diamonds and polished black plated appliques. The case is black ceramic on a black rubber alligator strap with grey stitching, and the right-hand chronograph function is designed in the likeness of a baseball. The star’s autograph is visible on the sapphire case back.
