TAG Heuer has revealed the latest generation of its Connected smartwatch, adding a second smaller case size.
The Connected Calibre E4 now features a more sartorial 42mm option with glassbox sapphire crystal and a slimmer case and bezel on top of the existing, and more sporty, 45mm watch with its ceramic bezel, which has also been redesigned for a “greater sense of flow.”
The 45mm model now also boasts a 30% increased battery life.
TAG Heuer has added an oversized crown for fingertip operation, an altimeter and the pushers have been given a mechanical feel to provide a link to the brand’s chronograph heritage.
The Connected is offered with a wider range of straps than ever before, including rubber, stainless steel and, for the first time, leather.
TAG Heuer has also expanded the range of available watchfaces too, with a number of heritage options reflecting TAG Heuer’s long-standing history for making chronographs alongside new contemporary artistic animations.
The watchfaces also embed moreinformation than ever before, with everything from five-hour weather forecast, activity time and wellness-focused information integrated.
One entirely new feature found on the Connected Calibre E4 watches is a series of on-screen, animated “guided workouts” targeting upper body, lower body or full body workouts.
TAG Heuer has also introduced a new part exchange programme for owners of previous generations of Connected watches who want to upgrade to the latest models, offering CHF 200, 300 and 450 against the previous versions.
The Connected Calibre E4 watches drop on March 10 via TAG Heuer, with prices starting at $1,800 USD.
Elsewhere in watches, Seiko Prospex adds four new pieces to Black Series.
