Greubel Forsey’s four tourbillon GMT has been transformed in a new limited edition through the use of a titanium case, new finishing and modern blue highlights.
The watch, which was previously offered in a 46.5mm 18k white gold case, has taken on a new sportier aesthetic, something we’ve been seeing more of from the La-Chaux-de-Fonds based brand since the introduction of its game-changing GMT Sport in 2019.
Changes have also been made to the design’s finishing with a circular grained hour ring with polished bevels and power reserve indicator presented in a brilliant blue. A frosted finishing has also been used on its mainplate which is offset by polished bevels, countersinks and sides.
The GMT Quadruple Tourbillon uses 805 individual components to bring together a unique rotating globe GMT complication with two double tourbillons, which are created using a 60-second tourbillon cage set at a 30° inside a second, horizontal tourbillon cage which completes a single rotation every four minutes. A differential is then used to transmit an average timing rate from the four outputs.
Just 11 pieces of the new titanium watch will be made, priced 760,00 CHF excluding taxes ($835,000 USD).
