The manually wound SBGW279 features a brilliant sunray brushed blue dial, taking its hue from the feathers of the Blue and White Flycatcher, or Oruri, that migrates to the mountainous regions of Japan.
The new 37.3mm stainless steel watch is fully polished with matching dauphine hands and applied baton hour markers and shows off its 72-hour power reserve, manually wound 9S64 movement via a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback.
Supplied on a rich brown crocodile leather strap, the SBGW279 permanently joins the Elegance collection via Grand Seiko outlets in the US in May, priced $4,600 USD.
