Norwegian international and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland went to Oslo-based MICROMILSPEC – which was founded in 2019 and supplies watches to military and emergency service units in Norway, Sweden and the US – to commission a unique piece.
The resulting watch, Goldenboy, celebrates Haaland receiving the 2020 “Golden Boy” for best U21 European footballer and features a titanium bezel atop its 42mm dark grey forged carbon case, which containing a 4Hz automatic chronograph movement from Vaucher Fleurier.
Haaland’s signature ‘Lotus’ goal celebration is depicted at the six o’clock position on the dial with a 30-minute counter bearing his shirt number at the nine o’clock and a small seconds at the three o’clock. Features such the small seconds hand and number nine are picked out in Borussia Dortmund’s signature shade of yellow, while the club logo features on the crown.
Personal milestone dates from Harland’s life are engraved around the watch’s rehaut and the hour markers are formed from applied platinum screw heads.
