A. Lange & Söhne has marked the 20th Anniversary of its Langematik Perpetual by dropping a host of new gold limited editions.
When it arrived in 2001, the automatic Langematik Perpetual not only paired Lange’s oversized date window with a perpetual calendar for the first time, but added a number of extra touches such as a zero-reset mechanism and a central corrector for advancing all calendar displays.
Two new limited editions are presented with blue dials crafted from solid silver and gold applied numerals. Lange is producing 50 pieces in both 18k white and pink gold, priced $112,600 USD (£81,400 GBP).
Lange has also produced a new version of its Saxonia Thin in 18k pink gold with a copper-flecked, blue aventurine dial echoing the night sky. Lange’s simple two-hander is housed in a 40mm case just 6.2mm from front to back while inside is a manually wound movement that manages an impressive 72-hour power reserve despite being just 2.9mm deep. A. Lange & Söhne is making just 50 pieces for sale, priced $32,500 USD (£23,500 GBP).
The final piece in Lange’s summer line-up is a limited edition run of its elusive Cabaret Tourbillon, Lange’s only rectangular watch, here offered in Lange’s hand-finished “Handwerkskunst” style, becoming just the seventh edition to bear the name that indicates the brand’s most elaborate levels finishing. The Cabaret was another Lange first when it dropped in 2008, becoming the first tourbillon to include hacking or stop seconds.
Just 30 pieces of this Cabaret Tourbillon Handwerkskunst are being made, with price available on application. For more information head over to A. Lange & Söhne.
